Multistate Insurance Agency Inc is a local and family-owned agency that was originally founded by J. Wayne Smith all the way back in 1974. Originally called Wayne Smith Agency, the business was incorporated in 2003 and became Multistate Insurance Agency Inc.

Interestingly, when the name change occurred the agency almost became "The Duke Agency", since Wayne's given name is John Wayne. However, out of consideration for future generations, Wayne decided to go in another direction since the agency represents individuals and businesses in both Arkansas and Louisiana.
